Ms. Leona Corniere, BA, Dip Ed, MC
Leona Corniere is a Registered Psychologist in Whitehorse, Yukon. She works at the Child Development Centre, an early intervention program for preschool children and their families. Corniere is a member of the Centre’s Early Childhood FASD Diagnostic and Support Team, and also has a private practice that includes services for school-age children. She developed and published work on relaxation strategies for preschool children, and has been an instructor and guest speaker for the Yukon College Early Childhood Program for the past 15 years.
Corniere is an active volunteer in her community. She was a board member and co-chair on the Yukon Council on Disabilities, a board member for the Yukon Child Care Board and the Autism Yukon, she also served as a volunteer for the Victim Assistance Program and Auxiliary RCMP.
