Network Action Teams

During the first phase of development, CanFASD Northwest undertook a consultation process to develop a strategy for the networking of research involving Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) across Canada Northwest. Based on the results, the CanFASD Northwest formed a group of Network Action Teams that are conducting research in a number of areas related to FASD, some of which have crosscutting themes.

The members of each team are collectively responsible for answering specific research questions, either through a review of existing data or by developing new research projects to address those questions. Each team will evaluate the data collected within the contexts of cultural diversity, gender, community, geography, and pertinence to policy change. The first teams are currently engaged in issues of diagnostics, intervention and prevention.
