Brief Description: The Disability and Community Support program will prepare students to work with people who have developmental and/or other disabilities in schools, childcare facilities, residences, employment, and leisure activities. Studies in this program will promote personal and professional growth and give students the knowledge and skills to assist people with disabilities to enhance their quality of life in partnership with their communities. Students will learn about current trends, policies, issues, and support systems in the field of disability services, implement a variety of strategies to assist with meaningful community living and participate in community-based practicum.
