FASD Support Worker

Brief Description: This program is offered in cooperation with Lethbridge Community College. It teaches students about the effects of exposure to drugs and alcohol and prepares them to work with people who have suffered irreversible brain damage. Students must complete a 200-hour practical course in which they work with FASD clients and support agencies. Upon graduation, students will receive a Credential of Academic Achievement attesting to their training to work within a variety of different fields, including family service agencies, education systems, the criminal justice system, child and youth care facilities, social work agencies, and rehabilitation services.
