Brief Description: National Trainers from CNC Lakes District will be providing train-the-trainer training to ten Master Trainers from across Canada. The Master Trainers will then deliver the training to Community Trainers in nineteen communities within their respective regions. These Community Trainers will go on to deliver a one day FASD workshop to a variety of service providers in each area. This project encompasses a vast geography with inherent challenges of social, political and language differences. From a community development perspective, it is designed to meet the needs of a cross section of service providers with emphasis on those who work with homeless individuals who have FASD. It will ultimately train Community Trainers across Canada to deliver the National Secretariat on Homelessness FASD workshop. It is estimated that over 7000 service providers (primarily service providers for the homeless and aboriginal court workers) will receive the workshop training.
Time Frame: ongoing
