Principal Investigator(s): Dr. Joanne Weinberg, Professor and Assistant Head, Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences, UBC, phone: 604-822-6214, email: jweinberg@exchange.ubc.ca

Start/End Date: September 1, 2006 – August 31, 2008

Location: UBC, Vancouver, BC

Brief Description: This project tests the hypothesis that prenatal ethanol exposure alters the methionine cycle and programs the fetal HPA axis through gene-specific changes in DNA methylation patterns and expression of the genes crucial to normal HPA activity and regulation.
