Brief Description: (3 hour workshop/12-minute video) – Multi-media project to increase awareness and understanding about stages of healthy child development and FASD among BC Aboriginal youth. This is accomplished through a public awareness campaign for their peers and includes three components: development of culturally appropriate resource materials about healthy pregnancy and FASD, production of a 12-minute video and training to 10 youth to give class presentation for grades 9, 10 and 11.

Publications: The Best Start in Life: What Youth Need to Know About Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (video); Facilitator’s Toolkit which contains all of the needed to host a 2-hour FASD information session for youth (facilitator’s instructions, presentation and summary slides, presentation notes, agenda and workshop evaluation form).
