Strategies for Critically Appraising Children’s Health Web Resources

Brief Description: Two year project to study how parents, researchers and clinicians in a variety of areas of pediatric health examine on-line resources in order to gain understanding of how experienced users navigate resources and offer a way to transfer this expertise back to communities. Project will design evaluation criteria to enable novice users of Internet to effectively evaluate children’s health web resources. Long-term goal of the project is the creation of materials to help different user groups (parents, teachers and clinicians) effectively evaluate web-based resources for FASD and other areas of children’s health.
