Funding Grants

CFFAR Grants support research projects related to FASD. These grants will be made annually to a maximum of $40,000 per year for up to two years in conjunction with International FASD Day, and the annual Fetal Alcohol Canadian Expertise (FACE) Research Roundtable. BC Mental Health and Addiction Services, an agency of the Provincial Health Services Authority, providing a diverse range of mental health services to people across BC.

British Columbia Centre of Excellence for Women's Health's (BCCEWH) mission is to improve the health of women through innovative research and the development of women-centred programs, practice, and policies. BCCEWH collaborates with women’s health researchers across British Columbia, across Canada and around the world and is known internationally for its work on women tobacco issues, as well as our change-oriented research and knowledge exchange activities.

Provincial Outreach Program for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (POPFASD), sponsored by the BC Miistry of Education has a mandate to provide services via the website so that teachers, parents, students and others can increase their understanding of FASD. POPFASD shares current research, ideas, strategies, training and resources in order to build capacity in school districts for students with FASD and their teachers.

Alberta Health Services (formerly AADAC) information on programs and services to assist Albertans in leading healthy lifestyles free from the harmful effects of alcohol, other drugs, tobacco and gambling.

Motherisk Program at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario, Canada is a clinical, research and teaching program dedicated to antenatal drug, chemical, and disease risk counselling. It is affiliated with the University of Toronto.

Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF) is an independent, not-for-profit organization with a mandate to promote the use of evidence to strengthen the delivery or health services in Canada.

FASD Connections is a non-profit organization committed to building a community in which adolescents and adults with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder are included and encouraged and where their desire and potential is supported; where the experience of families is understood, acknowledged, and accepted; and where systems are equipped to respond in an informed, compassionate and responsible way.
